My ‘perfect match’, wow… hmmm… I think I could list all the qualities and traits I would like in my match and I still wouldn’t be able to describe my ‘perfect match’. I think we all have an idea of what type of person with whom we’d like to spend time: type of personality, type of appearance, type of friend, lover, confidante… But sometimes we assume that our ‘perfect match’ is one thing, when in fact we come to realize by spending time with someone that we didn’t realize all that went into our ‘perfect match’.
I’ve come to realize what I would like in a friend, companion and lover based on past successful and failed relationships. I know I need someone who is kind, patient, down-to-earth, appreciates the little things in life, is not superficial, has perspective on the important things in life, is romantic, loving, affectionate, yet is also strong, independent and not ashamed of his intelligence. Someone who draws on his inner strength and moral compass to get his through life, yet also is not afraid to give in to love and romance and not afraid to let himself be vulnerable to the love and affection of a woman in his life and let not afraid to let himself trust others.
